Sports Carnival fun

On Monday 16th May, we had our K-2 Fun Sports Day.  First we had our running races and everyone got a ribbon. Then we were put into groups and had a Tabloid Sports Day. Everyone was SO busy running, jumping, throwing, kicking, weaving and sometimes resting. Mr C made a great carnival and we want to thank him very much for organising such a great morning.
THANK YOU MR C  xx :)

Here are some photos of our exciting day.

Dakota had fun in the sack race - even though he had trouble seeing
from under his hat!

Indee was very clever at "2 feet jumping". She jumped over the board 20 times in 30 seconds. Then after a rest she did it again! No wonder she went to sleep during rest time in the afternoon.

Charlie was really fast in the sack race. He didn't even fall over. I wonder if sticking his tongue out helped his balance?

After lunch some of us went home to have a big rest. Most of us stayed at school for some playtime, some rest time and some activity time. Indee and Callum went to sleep on the mat!

Mrs M helped us plant some seedlings that Mrs E bought for us. We planted lots of Marigolds and some Pansies.  We also put some pea seeds and bean seeds onto wet cotton wool to see what would happen. Most of us think that the seeds will sprout and maybe grow into plants.
Mrs E put some pea and bean seeds in a plastic dish without anything else on them. We don't think they will grow because there is no water for them to drink.
We hope you enjoyed our writing :)

  1. I think everyone had a great day and the kids probably thought the best part was the ice cream at lunch time :-)

  2. Hahaha! I remember myself joining this sack race when I was still young. I always rolled on the floor and got bruises all over my elbow.
